Tottenham have signed right-back Pedro Porro on loan from Sporting Lisbon until the end of the season, with a £39m buyout clause this summer.
Spurs paid an initial loan fee of around £5m to sign the 23-year-old on deadline day.
The Spaniard joins Antonio Conte’s side as Spurs’ second signing of the January window following weeks-long negotiations from Sporting after Arnot Danjuma arrived on loan.

Pedro Porro has emerged as one of the most exciting young players in Europe with Sporting Lisbon, scoring nine goals and providing 13 assists in 67 Primeira Liga appearances since joining from Girona in 2019.
He helped the Portuguese side to a league and cup double in his first season at the club and that success has allowed him to test himself against Champions League opposition this season, including Spurs, and last season Borussia Dortmund and Manchester City.
He has accepted that challenge and shown his ability to excel both in possession and off the ball, but it is his attacking threat that is key to his appeal to Conte and Spurs.
So far this season, Emerson Royal and Matt Doherty have made a total of 28 Premier League appearances between them, scoring two goals and assisting one.
The Brazilian has been first choice for most of the campaign and a closer look at his numbers further shows the difference between him and Porro.
Porro created seven times more chances per 90 minutes than Emerson and had higher numbers for assists, crosses, shots and successful dribbles. He represents a significant upgrade for the Spurs in a crucial position.
