In a telephone conversation on Monday, Amirabdullahin and his new Irish counterpart, Michel Martin, discussed issues of common interest.
Iran’s top diplomat congratulated Martin on his appointment as Ireland’s new foreign minister and expressed his belief that the relationship between the two countries will expand during his tenure.
Amirabdullahin pointed out that Iran is ready to hold new political consultations with Ireland. He then invited Martin to visit Iran.
A senior Irish diplomat congratulated Amirabdullahi on his appointment. Explaining that Iran is a country with an ancient history and civilization, he said, “I have always admired Iran for its brilliant history and culture.”
Martin also discussed the latest and most pressing consular issues between the two sides.
