Brighton are three, Liverpool are zero. A few weeks ago it was arguably one of the worst moves the Reds have made under Jurgen Klopp.
Jurgen Klopp’s men are back at the Amex after beating Wolves in the third round replay.
Two clean sheets in a row will give the opposition some confidence, but tomorrow’s game will depend on who the coach picks in his XI.
In the last two matches, Klopp has opted for a more energetic midfield trio in Stefan Bajsetic, Thiago Alcantara and Naby Keita. Contrary to what we have seen previously with Jordan Henderson and Fabinho.
Klopp will need to stick with the three midfielders who have produced those results in the last two games. Brighton took the lead two weeks ago and were selling into midfield.
With Moise Caicedo out, Liverpool will need to fully exploit and dominate the pitch if they are to progress to the next round.
I’m very impressed with Bajsetic and will be key again tomorrow if it starts. The young man has stuck to all the challenges and has been everywhere looking for every pass.
Bajsetic and Naby Keita will do all the hard work while Thiago Alcantara will captain the ship. The workload of the other two allows the Spaniard to focus on the passing game.
Brighton will go into this one full of confidence and will probably out-guess Liverpool after the result from two weeks ago.
However, if Klopp gets his squad right, they will face a completely different outfit than they faced in that game.
Having said that, I believe Liverpool will come out on top this time. Caicedo is a big miss for the home side and will give Jurgen Klopp’s men an advantage.

With Darwin Nunez back in the mix, Cody Gakpo will be allowed to play the preferred position on the left side. Just what I expected the midfield would provide a more balanced side.
Nunez has a point to prove. The boy has many critics. Yes, the finishing needs improvement but as a whole the game has been fantastic so far this season.
What better stage to show how good you are than the most famous cup in the sport? Like last week against Chelsea, today’s game will be different.
It’s only a matter of time before we see the Uruguayan start to finish off these chances and when they do, he will be followed by scoring opportunities.
Be it hope or faith, today is the day that the opportunity has ended. With a very stable and compact midfield, a Nunez goal or goals will be the difference and see the Reds get into the game.
Darwin Nunez’s double in the game would sink the Seagulls, who, surprisingly to some, would dominate from start to finish. Brighton will create chances, but I don’t think they will do enough to change the game.
Two clean sheets in a row for Liverpool will make it three and we will see our name out of the draw for the next round
