Wales open their 2023 Six Nations campaign by hosting Ireland in Cardiff on Saturday February 4 (2.15pm kick-off). Warren Gatland returns as head coach for a second spell after previously being in charge between 2007-2019. Center Joe Hawkins and wing Rio Dyer have both been called up to start.

Wing Rio Dyer has been named for Wales to start in the Six Nations against Ireland
Inexperienced duo Joe Hawkins and Rio Dyer sit in the Wales backline.
Alun Wyne Jones starts in the second row, while Dan Biggar is named at fly-half but stalwart Ken Owens leads the side as captain.
Full-back League Halfpenny is set to make his Wales debut from the summer of 2021, coming on as a substitute against Georgia in November. Biggar will return after missing the fall with an injury.
In-form back-rower Jacques Morgan has also been named to start alongside Andy Farrell’s Ireland at the Principality Stadium.
