The summer transfer window closes at 6pm on Tuesday 31st January, so stay tuned for top stories and updates throughout the rest of the transfer window. Let’s go to the latest:

Joao Cancelo is set to join Bayern Munich.

One of the most surprising transfers of the summer transfer window: Portuguese winger Joao Cancelo has left Manchester City to join FC Bayern Munich. As first reported by The Athletic. German club Neusser Mazrau is injured and Benjamin Pavard is likely to leave in the summer, so Barcelona have decided to sign him. Included in the deal is a loan until the end of the season with an option to buy. It is not yet clear whether Manchester City will decide to sign another left-back before the end of the transfer window.

Chelsea are still in the race for Enzo Fernandez.

Enzo Fernandez’s deal is not over yet. Chelsea have resumed negotiations for the Argentine midfielder after talks broke down in early January, with Benefica always demanding the English club pay his €120m release clause. Todd Bohli’s club are now open to paying that fee in several installments, and Benficam will have to decide whether or not to accept this request in the coming hours. Chelsea already had an agreement with the player on a personal contract CBS Insider Fabrizio Romano.

Inter Milan is looking for a replacement for Milan Skriniar

The Milan scrimmage is likely to land at Paris Saint-Germain, the only question is when. The current Inter Milan centre-back looks set to sign a deal with the Italian side in the summer of 2023 and join the French side in June. However, PSG are trying to sign him in January and are currently in talks with the Nerazzurri to try and get a deal done. PSG have offered €10 million, according to Sky Italia, but the Italian side are asking for more than that to leave before the end of the transfer window. The next few hours will be crucial to understand what will happen to Skrinieri, considering that Inter Milan must first find a replacement for him to leave. In this regard, the first name on the list is Atalanta’s defensive leader Demiral.
